Teaching Game Studies, Oct. 26th

Teaching Game Studies

The ModLab will be hosting a workshop on “Teaching Games Studies” in 234 Cruess on Thursday, Oct. 26th from 5 to 7 p.m. In this workshop, Profs. Colin Milburn and Kris Fallon will offer instructors practical advice on teaching students to interpret games through a variety of disciplinary perspectives. Faculty, graduate students, and anyone else interested in incorporating games into their curricula are all welcome. See the attached flyer for additional details. Please forward this message to any lists or individuals you think might be interested.

“Teaching Game Studies” is the first in a series of workshops on games and pedagogy. Later workshops will examine games as teaching tools and teaching game design.

Before the workshop, we will be demoing the HTC Vive virtual reality system, including Owlchemy Lab’s Job Simulator. If you are interested in playing, come on by at 4 p.m.
