Evan Lauteria, PhD student in sociology and member of the ModLab, has been awarded the Jerome M. Clubb Scholarship to participate in the 2016 ICPSR Summer Program in Quantitative Methods of Social Research in Ann Arbor, MI. The Clubb Scholarship is awarded annually to a handful of graduate students across the historical and social sciences whose research involves quantitative analysis on historical topics or uses historical data. This scholarship was established by the Social Science History Association (SSHA) and the Inter-university Consortium for Political and Social Research (ICPSR) in honor of Jerome M. Clubb, former executive director of both organizations.

Evan’s research addresses the cultural, organizational, and industrial history of Japanese video game production in the late 20th century. He will be attending summer workshops on network analysis, multiple regression, and categorical data to support of his own doctoral research and collaborative work on UC-Davis ModLab projects (http://modlab.ucdavis.edu/) and Temple University’s LGBTQ Game Content Archive (https://lgbtqgamearchive.com).
